Who’s on First?
Love is a powerfully underestimated force of love. There are many different kinds of listening, just like in the movie Mary Poppins, when Burt and Mary imitated different laughs. Have you ever had an experience where you were talking, and the listener was nodding their head at the perfect time, yet they were a million miles away, in Never Land, nowhere near being present for you? To me that feels like speaking into a void, an empty space of nothingness, creating a wholly unfulfilling experience. I have felt aggravated, confused, or “blown off” when that happens, as if what I am saying does not matter. Perhaps even that I don’t matter to them.

Have you ever felt like you were on a roll, knowing what you want and going for it, only to have someone tell you to hold your proverbial ‘horses’?!
How frustrating is that?!! Seriously, it’s annoying.

The 1806 fairytale The Elves and the Shoemaker is about a poor shoemaker and his wife who received much-needed help from elves. How cool is that?!
The shoemaker was down to his last piece of leather, barely making ends meet, when low and behold, voilà! Enter stage left, the elves!
